The Largest City in the World – TOKYO! 東京

And so it begins… This is a tale of tiny restrooms and the largest city.
We are finally here. We rented a Kia Sportage and drove to Chicago. (Very nice by the way, it had the right blend of Tech for me, Android Auto is fantastic, also it didn’t try to drive for me.

Once in Chicago, we met our cousins Rachel and Kiana and it was time for dinner. Have you ever wondered what Butter Chicken Tacos look like? Well look no further, thanks to a yummy fusion restaurant.

It’s also good to note, you CAN get to the airport too early! Apparently 5 hours is too early to check in, who knew!? I guess we may have been a bit eager to check our large suitcases.
If you have ever felt that your plane’s instructional video lacked something and that something was Pokemon! then ANA is the airline for you! I was glad they explained that high heel shoes, and luggage with ‘Sharp Points’ are not allowed since it could rip the emergency slide! You gotta watch those Sharp Points after all!
Each seat gets your own USB and 110 outlet for charging. The Chicken Teriyaki was pretty good, especially when it came with Häagen-Dazs ice cream. The bathrooms may be the smallest I have ever used. (no pictures provided – your welcome). And if you were wondering, yes there was a 2nd Pokemon instructional video for how to exit the plane in Tokyo as well. 13 hours was rougher than I thought it would be but finally we arrived in Tokyo! Even with it being almost 10:00 PM, local friends from the Kingdom Hall were their to meet us, give us bottles of water, our delegate badges and help with anything we needed like purchasing a sim card, and a Welcome Suica card.

After an hour taxi ride and climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage, we could shower and climb in bed. It is now almost 2:00 AM so I am gonna shut my eyes. Tomorrow is a long day of rest and recoup. Oh and we may have booked massages – okay we definitely booked massages. Good night from the largest city in the world and the land of the rising sun – hopefully it doesn’t rise too early.
