Here’s a quick picture of our luggage. Can you guess which bag is Leah’s?
We snapped a selfie (+1 creeper) as our flight took off.
The plane was actually quite big and had stairs leading to a 2nd floor, but this was our room just behind first class called economy comfort. I also got a picture of first class before they closed the curtain.
The 8 hour flight went smooth and we landed in Amsterdam just before 7am. The time difference is 6 hours ahead of Michigan so it still felt like 1am.
We were spoiled the moment we left customs by our welcome committee. They escorted us to a central hub, provided a cappuccino, my 1st Stroopwafel and arranged a driver to deliver us to our hotel 45mins away. It is now 10am and we have checked in to our beautiful eco-friendly hotel Landgoed de Horst to rest. Good night!
Fun Fact – Leah is killing it with her Dutch. Duolingo for the win! She’s been called a natural by 2 friends already. Me not so much, so I’ll have to stay close to her.
