Sir, I didn’t order this…

Day 15

Lazy day in Hoi An – Bacon, Egg and Cheese Breakfast and a Latte.
Leah got a Banana Pancake from a street vendor.

Leah took an art class on watercolor painting and meet her new hero Rehahn. He has several books showing his photography. Hidden Smile was very interesting since it shows the people of Sapa and their mouth’s are covered so you have to see the smile in their eyes. http://www.rehahnphotographer.com/project/hidden-smile/
Leah also was geeked that she met Bridget March and walked along the Rue Des Arts. We were very tempted to buy this green painting and ship it home, we decided against it because of lack of wall space to show it; a decision we will soon regret lol.
Bridget lived in Sapa for 4 months last year. So basically Leah learned what we needed to do and not do when in Sapa.

Then we had a nice dinner by the river followed by 1 last visit to White Rose.

So you may have read about in a previous post about the old Bale Well. Leah had a picture that has a great story behind it. After we seen the well we ate at the Restaurant called “Bale Well”. We sat down and wanted a menu, but instead they brought us egg rolls. Okay that was nice, maybe they are complimentary, then Banh Xeo (Pancakes), then skewered meat. Every time we turned around there was another plate of food, we didn’t even order or look at a menu. Well, I guess we better start eating it.

Okay so this was not free. Apparently when you sit down you automatically get a buffet that they bring to you. Good think it was only like $6 each.

These are out of order but since this is the last post about Hoi An, here are some pictures of us and our tailors fitting us for clothes.

Also Important Note: We Brought Too Much Stuff!!!! We mailed our clothes back to the states and anything else we did not need. The good news is that our huge backpacks are a bit lighter, the bad news is there is very little room for souvenirs and the little room we had was in the box we mailed, it should arrive by February.

Tomorrow off to Da Nang !
