I will pay you more for a Strawberry!

Day 13

Today is a lazy day. We slept in and then I found my way to the Cargo Club. It’s over priced and super yummy. Eggs Benedict! Afterwards, I ordered a creme brulee, but wanted strawberries. I was told ‘No’. They had like 6 different tarts and desserts with all kinds of strawberries. So I argued my way in to “paying more for a strawberry.” Finally, she returned and said I could pay 10,000 for a strawberry, totally worth it! (less than $0.50. Then Leah met me and we were informed the kitchen was closed, we had no choice by to buy cake, that was the only thing available.

We found a street artist, who has a Blackberry #Blackberry’sNotDeadJustLayingLow. I also found a guy making roses and animals our of bamboo leaves, I felt sorry for him since 90% of people just stopped to take his picture but wouldn’t buy anything. So I paid him for one and didn’t take it, just donated to him. (A whole $1.00 too) His smile was worth it!

Dinner at an Indian restaurant and then an early night for us.

Day 14

Today was a sad day. The Surface Pro cracked 😦 Justin you can totally sympathize. I put it in my packback – padded laptop pouch, jumped in the taxi and picked up our clothes. Rode back to the Hotel and it had cracked, didn’t even drop it. Chris if you want to help me fix it, I’ll be ordering a new screen when I get back. I was able to turn the touch screen so I can still blog, otherwise if freaks out.

 To console myself I found a nice restaurant that served BBQ Pork Mac’N Cheese and Sapporo on Tap.

We decided to stay 1 extra night in Hoi An. Then we are off to the North: Hanoi, Sapa, and Ha Long Bay here we come!
