Day 11
Hoi An is known for having 400 different tailors! Leah and I planned on getting some clothes made but we did not plan on buying what the Vietnamese call “Ao chuối”. They will make ANYTHING you want out of this fabric.

We started today by sleeping in. Then took a trip to Bale Well. The story goes that the Ba Le well is the only well that can be used to make the famous cao lau noodle. soup. It is said to have been built in the 10th century by the Cham people. We went to Ba Le Well restaurant, they did not serve Cao Lau though, they served food before we could even look at a menu, and then more food. (Leah has a pic, I need to get it from her camera)
After lunch we were dragged to a tailor, even though we already had 1 picked out. This was not an option, we had to go there lol. Turns out they had really nice fabric. Here’s some pics of a jacket I like and Leah getting measured.
Then Dinner at Jim’s SnackBar, more Bacon and a burger. Yum!
Tomorrow we take a tour! That means lots of Pics. Hopefully we will see con trâu.
Look like you will need a week to rest up when you get back! How are the waist lines? Sounds like you are eating 5 times a day!

I wish we had a week to rest, but honestly I will be ready to get back to work. Don’t worry about the ‘waist lines’ hopefully the walking balances out the eating. I heard that the viet food doesn’t count. Yes, 5 meals a a day and a trip to the spa, that is the secret to a good vacation!
