Leah meets a con trâu

Day 12

We got free breakfast at our Homestay!

1st Stop Vegetable Village to make rice cakes

Then we find the con trâu

The baby buffalo was so cute, it was like 1 week old. Learning how to walk.
The buffalo we rode was very tricky, with no saddle it was a challenge to stay on.

Next up on the tour is making pottery! Unlike the electric spinning wheel in the states, this one is powered by their daughter spinning the wheel with her foot! She quickly whipped up a beautiful vase and pot and matching lid in like 60 seconds!
The woman “helping” us basically waited for us to mess-up the pot and then did it herself and said “Done good job!” Maureen I feel like you could do this job, offer for them to do it then do it better yourself lol. Nicholson, we totally wanted to buy you this Pig money bank, but it would not have traveled well.

Next up is a trip to the bamboo forest via a basket boat. Our guide was crazy. She decided to paddle in circles and make the boat spin fast, then shake the boat side to side. She ripped off a fresh bamboo leaf and made us both rings. Leah found a crocodile in the river, it’s like picture 5. Ask her about it! Last we tried water coconut. 1 bite from each pod.

As a bonus to our trip we went to Cooking School!
Step 1 peel a tomato an roll the skin to look like a rose, well close enough.

After that we tried on close again, Laura got some shoes make – so cute!
